When to go there?
The best time to visit Cuba is in March or mid-April when the weather is warm, sunny and mostly dry. The rainy season starts in May, with the possibility of heavy rains, storms and hurricanes increasing in the period from June to November. Hurricanes are more common along the coast, usually between August and October. Unless you are really keen on the real tropical heat, you should avoid travelling to Cuba in July and August, as these months are unpleasantly hot and humid there. The tourist season in Cuba begins in December, with the arrival of the cool and dry period. Daily temperatures throughout December and January are very pleasant (up to 27oc), but at night temperatures may drop below 20oc, which requires a more layered clothing.
